Agreement to Terms
By using SMS Expense Tracker ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Service Description
SMS Expense Tracker is a text message-based expense tracking service that allows you to:
- Log expenses by sending SMS messages
- Upload receipt photos via MMS for automatic expense logging
- View spending summaries and totals
- Export expense data as CSV files
- Receive AI-powered spending analysis
User Responsibilities
By using the Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Use the Service only for personal expense tracking
- Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Be responsible for all activity under your phone number
Messaging Terms
- Opt-in: By texting START or your first expense to our number, you consent to receive SMS messages from the Service
- Opt-out: Text STOP at any time to unsubscribe from all messages
- Help: Text HELP for assistance
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your usage. You receive one reply per message sent
- Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply
Service Availability
We strive to maintain Service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
Data Accuracy
While we use AI to help parse your messages and receipts, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any errors in your expense records.
Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Any errors or inaccuracies in expense tracking
- Loss of data or service interruptions
- Any damages arising from your use of the Service
- Carrier fees or data charges incurred
Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by texting STOP. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service for any user who violates these terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
